📚 SLD Reading Centre

Read → Understand → Think → Use English

This free independent-learning course develops reading comprehension from foundational to advanced levels. Each reading trains specific skills such as main idea, detail, reference, vocabulary in context, inference, writer's purpose, analytical thinking and preparation for cross-text synthesis.

For the current reading bank, aim for 70% or higher. You may retry activities: practice scores are diagnostic and are intended to help you learn.

Each lesson ends with a short Writing from Reading task so that you move from understanding English to using it yourself.

C1

Myanmar Stories III — Literature, Culture & Ideas is the advanced course in SLD’s Myanmar Stories progression.

Reading band: C1–C2. Students read across literary and essay forms while examining ambiguity, rhetoric, material culture, historical reliability, source awareness, ethics, identity, and the difference between documented evidence, oral memory, legend, and literary reconstruction.

Editorial staging notice: this hidden course is deliberately transparent about uncertainty. Many readings are literary reconstructions developed from working research notes; they must not be presented as verified inherited folklore or established historical fact until source and community checks are complete.
